Stephen Lang's casting was announced way back in 2010 and by the looks of it, his character seems to be the antagonist not just for the movie, but also for the additional stories that will come in the future. While there is not much that the trailer gives away about the plot, one thing we can say for certain is that there is a major battle taking place at some point in the film on the ocean, with several characters emerging from the water while riding animals.

After so many years of speculation, rumors, and anticipation, we got the first look at James Cameron's upcoming movie, "Avatar: The Way of Water."
There are many shots in the trailer featuring unknown characters swimming in the ocean and interacting with aquatic lives.
The trailer for the movie, titled "The Way of Water", has racked up 148 million views in 24 hours.
Jack Champion will play Jake's adopted human child, who is one of the new characters we will be seeing in the sequel.
Most humans were sent back to Earth after they lost the battle in the first movie of the series. In the trailer, we see Miles climbing through the trees, which is how he earned the nickname Spider.
Even though he is accepted by his mother, she still feels that he is responsible for destroying her home and killing her father. In 90 seconds, it was able to offer a large glimpse into what has changed and what we can expect to see on the planet. A lot of the movie will take place in and around the water, based on the title alone. He was raised with the Na'vi children of Jake and Neytiri. Most of us had given up hope for a sequel even after 13 years since James Cameron gave this gift to the world. He didn't want to be a part of the sequel until he had three more stories to tell.
The character of Colonel Quaritch was killed off in the first part. If the humans are back in Pandora to avenge what happened in the previous story, it will be worse.
There are more than one person returning from the dead. The work isn't complete since the Resources Development Administration's machinery is still being used. There are still many humans in the new trailer.
The film will have beautiful underwater visual effects.
