Cox had been dodging rumors about appearing in No Way Home for months, but now that the devil is out of the bag, he is free to discuss and speculate on where he'd like to see the character go in the future. Daredevil is one of the more interesting, cool, and complex characters in their stable, and hopefully, they find the right home and balance for him in the MCU. The solo comic series has seen a number of top creators work on it, including Frank Miller, Brian Michael Bendis, Kevin Smith, and Ed Brubaker, all contributing to the mythos of the character and keeping the title going strong for decades. Cox played Daredevil in The Defenders miniseries, which was a part of a team that included Jessica Jones, Mike Colter's Luke Cage, and Finn Jones' Iron Fist.
It will be interesting to see if the character gets watered down in the MCU, since the show was more violent and bloody than his comic-book origins would suggest. During Frank Miller's run on the character, which took him to a whole other level, the stories that made them popular on the page were not particularly sanitized. Being in the MCU allows me to interact with other characters, which is something we couldn't do with the streaming service.

Cox said that he'd love to explore more interesting stories with other characters in the MCU. I don't know what that looks like and I don't know what they're planning I think it will get to the point where people will say, "You are too old to be playing this part." I would love for the character to explore some of the stories there. I want to be involved for a long time. He played Owen Sleater in the hit show Boardwalk Empire and starred in Matthew Vaughn's adaptation of Stardust. Cox played Daredevil for three seasons before it was canceled. Cox is going to play Daredevil in the MCU.
