Harold explains that at the beginning of the series, Obi-Wan has shut himself off from what is going on in the galaxy around him and, while he knows about the mass hunting of the Jedi, it doesn't really hit him until he sees the tomb on Fortress Inquis. Although Obi-Wan ran away from a confrontation with Reva in episode 2, it's possible that discovering the Jedi tomb in episode 4 will push him to finally fight her. The events of the show forced him to embrace the Jedi he once was and episode 4 shows him confronting the Jedi head-on in a way he never had before. The show bridged the gap between Alec Guinness's version of Obi-Wan depicted in the trilogy and the one depicted in Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope.

It's possible that the ramifications of Obi-Wan's discovery will be seen in the remaining 2 episodes of the show.

"Obi-Wan has been in his cave on Tatooine and he knows what's been happening, but he hasn't been confronted with it and how it's evolved," Harold told us.

Harold talked about the importance of the Jedi tomb scene and Obi-Wan's journey as a character in a new interview. Through the course of his journey, he has to confront what has happened to the galaxy and also what has happened to the Jedi. The episode didn't give Obi-Wan time to reflect on his discovery of the Jedi tomb, but his priority was the rescue of Princess Leia. The inclusion of a Youngling in one of the Jedi corpse displays makes the scene even more shocking for both Obi-Wan and the audience. Obi-Wan is back in Disney+'s latest Star Wars show, Obi-Wan Kenobi, after last appearing in Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith. Audiences don't have much time to wait to see the conclusion of Obi-Wan Kenobi and McGregor's take on the beloved character.

In Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, Obi-Wan was portrayed as a villain. Inside the facility, Obi-Wan discovers a room filled with dead Jedi in an amber-like substance. The Jedi tomb scene in episode 4 is crucial to Obi-Wan's journey. He's faced with this harsh horror when it starts being right in his face to the point where it's a couple of feet away.

Obi-Wan Kenobi has been a hit with both fans and critics so far, depicting Obi-Wan's attempts to rescue Princess Leia from a group of Jedi hunters known as the Inquisitors. Episode 4 features Obi-Wan breaking into Fortress Inquisitorius to free Leia from the clutches of Reva. He was confronted by the reality of the world along the way. The beloved Jedi is content with living a solitary life on Tatooine.
