In the comic series "Moon Knight", a group of people calling themselves the knights of Khonshu attempted to kill a man in the name of their religion.

It wasn't the best kind of attention, as Khonshu would direct his Avatar to another failed attempt at appeasing him, which involved human sacrifice. Since Ammit and his goals were so closely aligned after the death of the crocodile goddess, no doubt her disciples are ripe for the picking, whether to be culled by Lockley or absorbed into Khonshu's flock.

After stealing the powers of several other superheroes to help establish his rule over the Earth, the cult would finally get their act together.

When he spoke about the lack of action by the other gods, he declared that "Avatars are not enough!"

Thanks to the Punisher, the cult's new leader was slain and the group was once again inactive.

Jake Lockley was revealed to be tied to the lives of Spector and Grant through another alter, even though they were unaware of it. It was odd that such an obscure god would have graffiti dedicated to them, but he has continued to be active on Earth, so it would make sense that he'd still have worshippers. As seen in the finale, when both are still tying themselves to the bedpost despite being at peace with one another, they are already suspicious.

In the season finale of Moon Knight, a public brawl takes place under the full moon next to the pyramids of Giza. The moon god's reputation in the mortal realm may grow as a result of the fight ending with Khonshu as the victor. The moon god is accused of sounding like Ammit after he insists that she will kill again. The final post-credit scene holds dark implications for the lives of the two leads, as well as their future ambitions on Earth. Even if it meant executing innocent people, the group wanted the world to know that Khonshu was the true ruler of heaven and Earth. Lockley told the man to "today is your day to lose" before shooting him several times.

It's not likely that the moon god would want to wreak vengeance on the deserving across the globe, even though he would want to protect a few city blocks in London. It could lead to Moon Knight becoming a villain, like in the comics when Spector opposed the Avengers for the sake of Khonshu's crusade. The graffiti on the wall shows that Khonshu has followers on Earth, which he could exploit for his own ends. Fans of the comics knew that he should not be trusted, which is why he was portrayed in the Moon Knight on Disney+. After transforming himself into Shadowknight, Randall fought his opponent in combat for the right of Khonshu's blessing, which ended with him being the winner.

Jack Lockley's Moon Knight could be confronted by the Midnight Sons instead of the Avenger. The cult would reappear in the comics decades later, but this time gaining the attention of their god of worship.

Even though Ammit was trapped inside a ushabti, it's more than likely that she could have had a cult of followers. Ammit was the only active Egyptian god on Earth.

The leader of the group was killed after they were defeated.
