The return of Black Bolt, who was on the Inhumans TV series, was one of the biggest surprises when it came to the secretive team. The group was put together in the first place because of Incursions, a reality-destroying threat that is the key example as to why the group was ever put together.

MCU's Illuminati Pictures (Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness)

Captain Carter

One of the highest points of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was seeing the Illuminati. Since Maria Rabeau was on the alternate roster, the hero's experience in the larger universe would provide some crucial perspective. The introduction of the first family is something many have waited for, and this was one step closer to meeting them all, as he has been the common fan casting choice for years now.

Black Bolt

New high-resolution images of several members of the mysterious Illuminati were revealed by the official account for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Some of the most powerful heroes on Earth are brought together to make difficult decisions.

Captain Marvel

The last member to receive a new image was Maria Rambeau in her new role as Captain Marvel. It is possible that Doctor Strange will end up being the person to round up a new group in his universe.

Black Bolt, Captain Carter, and Mordo were also included in the secretive council.

While fans haven't been able to enjoy high-resolution images of the team outside of theaters, it looks like they have been fixed. The Illuminati was one of the biggest elements introduced to the MCU. There are new official images from the movie which show three of the six members.

It's not a matter of if viewers see the Illuminati on Earth-616, it's when.

The next step is to introduce some of the characters seen on Earth-838 in the 616. A lot was brought to the table by Doctor Strange.

Sam Wilson would probably be in the same chair as Captain Carter, while Strange would take Mordo's spot. It's highly unlikely that it's the same variant from the show. A majority of fans wondered when the group would show their faces again after meeting them.

John Krasinski's Richard Reeds received the strongest reaction.

Doctor Strange is playing in theaters around the world. The excitement for Reeds was challenged by a man who had a floating hoverchair.

Earth-838's team seems to be kaput as of now. Reed Richards will be making his debut sooner rather than later, but figures like Professor X and Black Bolt don't know when they'll be back on screen.
