Gi-hun, the main character of the first season of Squid Game, will be back for the second season along with the masked villain the Front Man. The message teases the possible return of the salesman who in Squid Game season 1 first invited Gi-hun and the other contestants in with his seemingly innocent game of ddakji. Young-hee has a boyfriend named Cheol-su who will be introduced to fans in season 2. It seems unlikely that any of the Squid Game stars will return for season 2.
During the entire season 2 speculation, the creator of the Squid Game, Dong-hyuk, has remained largely optimistic while dropping occasional hints of what he has in store for fans. Gi-hun was the winner of Squid Game, as was the Front Man.
