While his voice may sound like Freddy Krueger, the character is actually portrayed by Bower, who stars as Victor Creel in the series.
Vecna is named after the Dungeons & Dragons spellcasting monster and is a villain who invades the minds of his victims and preys on guilt before twisting their bodies into pretzels. Vecna not only scared viewers, but also the cast, including Brown, who cried when she saw Bower on set. Vecna was sent to the Upside Down by Eleven years before the events of season 4.
