When the God Butcher wants to wipe out all gods, Thor must team up with his former flame Jane and his rock-based friend Korg in order to stop him.

The film will be released five years after the conclusion of the Phase 4 multiverse projects such as Doctor Strange and Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Although Waititi claims he doesn't know anything about the plans for the characters, he must be aware of what he wrote at the end of the film. A lot of fans will assume that this is the end of the torch, but I don't think that's the case.

Waititi says that it is fun and that it is in the hands of someone else. Jane was a key part of the Secret Wars story in the comics, so she should have a continued presence in the MCU.

It would be a disservice to the character if Jane's appearance was limited to one film. The movie will follow the hero as he picks up the pieces of his life after the events of the movie. The actor stated that he wants to continue portraying the character after Love and Thunder, and that he will have future appearances in the franchise.

Waititi talked to Total Film about the future of Thor and Jane. After over eight years of being apart, the trailer for the new THOR: LOVE AND THUD shows that Thor and Jane are back together. According to promotional materials, Jane now wields a rebuilt Mjolnir, the weapon that was thought to have been destroyed by Hela. The original source material left the Nine Realms vulnerable to many enemies because it didn't have a shield. Taika Waititi teases the future of Jane Foster's and Chris Hemsworth's characters in the upcoming movie.

Waititi thinks fans will take this as a sign that Portman will be the leader of the THOR franchise. After the destruction of his home-world, the hero pursues a new purpose in his life. A woman is chosen to wield the mighty hammer. Stormbreaker, a weapon created by Eitri to kill Thanos in the movie, is still being used in the sequel. Jane Foster is the woman who is battling cancer. Jane's future within the shared universe is in question. The director doesn't think this is happening. Someone is taking his place. His hammer is no longer used.
