The first film of the year, which was supposed to be released in January, has been pushed back three months.
The film features Matt Smith, Adria Arjona, Jared Harris, Al Madrigal and Tyrese Gibson. One of the best Spider-Man films, Sony's animated film was too good to keep as a stand-alone film.
The Japanese Spider-Man will make his debut, Gwen Stacey will be back as Spider- Woman, and Oscar Isaac's Spider-Man will get a larger role. A brand new character will be introduced into the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the upcoming series slated to release in 2022.
The line up looks pretty good so far. In the film, Leto plays an antihero named Michael Morbius. Moon Knight, a character from the pages of the comics, will be portrayed by Oscar Isaac, who will headline the project. There will be new protagonists and villains in the superhero content.
The film was directed by Sam Raimi, who helmed the original Spider-Man trilogy. Originally conceived as an anti-hero, Moon Knight was later reintroduced as a costumed avenger who wants to fight crime.
The follow-up film is expected to address the passing of Boseman and the rise of the next Black Panther.
Huge expectations have been pinned on the movies this year, following the success of Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Riri Williams, also known as Ironheart, is an inventor who creates her own suit of armour.
She will get her own armour as well as taking up the name of THOR. There were a few shots of Spidey swinging through India in the trailer.
