The production of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness completed another round of reshoots ahead of the film's premiere in less than a month, and it seems like the same thing is happening with the production of Thor: Love and Thunder. After keeping fans waiting for even longer than the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer, Marvel Studios gave the longawaited first look at the return of Chris Hemsworth's God of thunder, in what is set to be one of the biggest films of the summer.
The record for the shortest window between a first trailer being released and a movie's premiere is currently held by the trailer for THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER. We know that Natalie Portman will be returning to the franchise for the first time since her appearance in The Dark World, and she will be taking on the role of The Mighty THOR when she wields a newly forged Mjolnir. While the appearance, which seemed to be deviating from the comic book version, was divisive amongst fans, even the arrival of a trailer is not enough to know what to expect when the final movie arrives. There is not much known about the plot of the movie, but there are a lot of rumors out there and a host of hints taken from merchandising as to how some of the movie will pan out. Other returnees include Vin Diesel as the voice of Groot, Chris Pratt as Star Lord, Dave Bautista as Drax, and Christian Bale as the villain Gorr the God Butcher.
After the events of Avengers: Endgame, there is a new movie called THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER. A few weeks ago, director Taiki Waititi joked that the trailer might be ready to be released the day before the movie arrived in cinemas, and many fans wondered if that was a joke. With so many mistakes and red herrings to consider, the first THOR: LOVE and THUNDER footage will now be picked apart scene by scene to draw out every possible plot point and surprise that eagle-eyed fans can find.
Christian Bale was back on set last month to film more footage for the character of Gorr the God Butcher, who was recently revealed in artwork for a toy line. Although these are usually planned in advance, and are done to either correct some minor issues or remake scenes that don't hit like they should, with visual effects playing a part in most scenes. The first trailer for the movie is here.
Movie will be released On July 8th, THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER.
Is it possible for the MCU's THOR to even die?
