Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is one of the best Spider-Man movies of all time. The film saw Spider-Man being taken over by a Kingpin-led scheme that brought several other Spider-People over into his dimensions. The third entry in the Spider-Man series is called Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse. They were the villains of the original Spider-verse comic event, where they killed Spider Totems, an action that feeds their life forces.

As disappointing as the news may be, Sony just revealed at CinemaCon that the project is set to have 240 characters, explore 6 different universes, and have roughly 1,000 people working on it, so they have a lot of work to do. It's hard to make an educated guess as to what will happen in the final movie of the trilogy without knowing what Across the Spider-Verse is about.
It would be hard to believe that the Inheritors aren't the main villain of the story at one point or another. The sequel, Across the Spider-Verse, was recently delayed until June 2, 2023, but many are looking forward to it.
