Warner Bros.' President of DC Films, Walter Hamada, testified on the stand that more information about the actress' role in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom has been uncovered.

At one point, Warner Bros. asked itself if it would be better off recasting in order to find someone who had more natural chemistry with the actor. He said that the conversations to recast were because of concerns about whether she was the right fit for the movie, and that the dispute with Johnny Depp did not play into it. It has also been the cause of several lost projects, including another Pirates of the Caribbean and being replaced in the Fantastic Beast series. I think editorially, they were able to make that relationship work in the first movie, but there was a concern that it took a lot of effort to get to there and would we be better off with someone else? The Pirates of the Caribbean star claimed that Heard is not the victim of domestic violence but the person who did it.

He claimed that the conversation to consider recasting was due to an issue of chemistry between Heard and the lead star of the film, and not related to the ongoing dispute with Johnny Depp.

The president of Warner Bros. DC Films testified about the role the conflict may have played in conversations about Heard's role in the comic book movie franchise. One would think that she would be facing a similar blowback, given all of the information uncovered about how she treated Depp. As of late, word has been getting around that her role in the film was reduced to that of Mera.

The case lost two franchises, but it never factored into Heard's place in the Lost Kingdom. The conflict between the two has been in the public eye for a long time.

The case had no say in Warner Bros.' discussions of the future of Heard's character, according to the DC President of Films.

When it comes to her place in the DCEU, only time will tell.

When the first film was released, chemistry issues were never a point of criticism from fans or critics. It is almost impossible for someone not to have heard about the trial.

The feud is one of the biggest in recent memory.

Heard hasn't been publicly out of any projects despite the blowback. Many people liked Heard's time as Mera and wanted to see more of her.

The movie "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom" will be released on March 17, 2023. When the sequel arrives, fans may not see much of her.

They did not take any official steps to try to find replacements. Did the two have chemistry?
